EP's denim by Epaulet
We proudly present EP's - our collection of raw denim jeans made in Los Angeles. Intended to compliment our shirts, sportcoats, and footwear, EP's have clean design, strong construction, and an excellent cut. Each piece is crafted in artisan selvedge denim woven and will deliver a comfortable fit and great fade.
EP's is one of our in-house brands and is exclusive to Epaulet. Like our other Epaulet pieces, EP's are crafted in the USA in small batches. Alongside a few basics, we'll release a constant stream of special and limited editions.

EP's have minimal embellishments. There's no logo and no contrast stitching. The front has gunmetal donut buttons, button fly, and riveted pockets. Stitched bartacks on the rear pockets reinforce the top. Pockets are crafted in rugged hickory-stripe cotton twill. The EP's coin pocket is pefectly sized to accommodate a few cards and some cash, thereby doubling as a mini-wallet. A genuine cowhide patch is stamped and sewn onto the rear. It's really all about great fabric, classic style, and a precise fit. EP's look just as good with a sportcoat and wingtips as they do with a sweater & boots. With their clean and versatile design, they'll surely be one of your favorite pieces.

The "Smith" fit is a tapered straight leg jean. It's slim without being too skinny. It has a small leg opening which works well with proper shoes, boots, and trainers. Exact measurements are at the bottom.

Denim Details
These jeans are crafted in 14oz Red Line Selvedge. This fabric comes from the Cone Mills White Oak plant in North Carolina. It has a slightly irregular weave and will provide a fantastic fade. This is a deadstock fabric that our Los Angeles contractor had on hand. It was discontinued 8 years ago, and no additional fabric is available. 90 units were produced.

The denim is selvedge and sanforized. Originally called "self edge," selvedge is the tightly woven band of fabric on either end of the denim roll. It's visible when you roll up the cuff. Sanforized denim is stretched and treated to minimize shrinkage after the first wash. As such, you can buy the jeans true to size.

Made in the United States
Each pair of EP's is meticulously crafted in Los Angeles. While maintaining artisan manufacturing in the USA is one of our goals and mission statements, there's a more practical reason for this: LA makes some of the best jeans in the world. The fit is consistent, the construction is top-notch, and the finishing is excellent. You're going to spend the next few years wearing these jeans in. It's our responsiblity to ensure that they're made tough enough to take it.

Cone Mills White Oak
Founded in 1906 by Moses and Caesar Cone, the White Oak Mill was named after a giant oak tree on the front grounds. With three other partner mills in the same state of North Carolina, Cone grew to supply one-third of the world's denim supply and all of the denim for Levi's iconic 501 jean. These days, the White Oak Mill creates artisan denim fabrics on vintage shuttle looms. The quality is outstanding, and they have the well-earned reputation of crafting some of the best denim on Earth.

Measurements
All measurements are shown in inches. Waist is measured with the waistband laid flat and doubled. Thigh is measured from the lowest point of the crotch (laid flat) straight across the thigh. Leg opening is the width of the bottom hem. Rise is measured from the lowest point of the crotch (laid flat) to the top of the waistband.

Please note: These jeans are crafted of raw sanforized denim. When washed, it will shrink approximately 0.5" in length (inseam). It will shrink slightly in the waist as well, but this will quickly stretch back to the correct size. After 25-30 wears, the waist will stretch between 0.5 to 1.5" from where it is now. Generally, you can purchase these jeans true to size. If you have very slim legs, you might consider sizing down by one inch.
