Zaha Hadid, British Iraqi deconstructivist architect and the first female recipient of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, is world renowned for her influential and groundbreaking designs. She has teamed up with Melissa to create one of the most iconic and collectible shoes of our time.
This radical shoe has round forms, asymmetrical cuts, and an absolutely original avant-garde design. According to the architect, the inspiration came from fluid movements which accompany the lines of the body. "The fluidity of our design combined perfectly with the technology of of Melissa, injecting pieces without closures or seals", she states. "The asymmetry conducts an inherent sense of movement to the design, evoking continuous transformations." Not only do these shoes make an unbelievable design statement, they're comfortable, waterproof, and washable. Each pair is packaged inside a molded plastic case.

As with all Melissa shoes, they're crafted in Brazil of natural and sustainable rubber. They are extremely comfortable, mold to your feet after just a few wears, are totally waterproof, and can be cleaned in a sink with good 'ol soap and water.
SIZING: Melissa shoes come in whole sizes. This style runs approximately a 1/2 size big, so if you are in between sizes we recommend the size down.
FIT: The velcro ankle straps should not be worn tight around the ankle, but fastened loosely to maintain their architectural shape.
