The "Hoof Pick" a traditional equestrian accessory. Riders would carry one to pick stones out of the horse's hooves, thereby keeping them comfortable on the trail. As a belt, this unique hardware imparts a unique and rugged style that's an excellent match for denim and chinos. It measures 1.25" wide and slides easily through belt loops.
Our Hoof Pick belt is built to last. The pick itself is cast in solid brass and has a handsome goldtone finish. The belt is crafted in vegetable-tanned English Bridle Leather, which is itself sourced from top-grade US steerhide. The "pick holder" is hand-threaded and securely riveted to the interior of the belt. The keeper is handsewn with waxed thread.
Please note: In order to preserve its natural character, this full-grain hide has not been buffed or corrected - so your belt may have small scratches or tone variations. It's all part of the charm of hand crafted leather goods. Look at the enlarged product image closely and you can see what we mean.
Sizing
Epaulet belts have "Standard Belt Sizing," meaning that you need to order 1-2 inches larger than your typical pant size. So if you ordinarily wear a 32 or 33 pant, please order a 34 in the belts.
