Product Description:
This shawl collar variation on the typical pea coat is a particularly exciting offering from Fidelity. Originally worn by sailors of American and European navies, pea coats are traditionally made from navy-colored wool, feature broad lapels, double-breasted fronts, anchor-crested buttons, and high-set slash pockets. This interpretation is a bit of a deviation, with its dark charcoal exterior, flap pockets in addition to slash pockets and an elegant wrap-around shawl collar. Perhaps marginally more sophisticated than the traditional naval pea coat, this piece would be a superb match for dark khaki trousers, officer’s Indy boots and a navy cardigan.
The outer shell is a blend of 80% wool and 20% nylon, which blocks the wind as it insulates and keeps the material looking new and pill-free for years. This piece is fully lined with 100% acetate.

Measurements
Note: All measurements are shown in inches. "Chest" is measured from one armpit seam to the other. "Shoulder" is measured from one shoulder seam to the other. "Sleeve" is measured from where the sleeve attaches to the body to the cuff. "Length" is measured from the base of the collar (where it attaches to the garment) to the bottom of the tail.
Sizing
This piece is very slim fitting, so if you want to have the option of wearing a sweater underneath, we recommend sizing up from your typical Epaulet shirt size. For example, if you usually take a medium in Epaulet shirts, we suggest ordering a large in this coat. If you only intend to wear a shirt under it, then ordering your typical Epaulet shirt size is fine.
