Hand-crafted in Maine, Epaulet belts combine phenomenal materials with meticulous workmanship to yield a handsome and long-lasting item that gains character with wear and age.
Our "Double Prong" model measures 1.5" wide. The solid brass buckle is goldtone with subtle antiquing. The keeper is handsewn with cream-toned waxed thread. This was designed to be an all-around basic item which can be worn day after day and year after year. Although a bit wider than our Single Prong belt, this piece still fits comfortably in the belt loops of our in-house trousers, jeans, and chinos.
English bridle leather is famous for its durability and strength, so it makes an ideal material for continual use. The unfinished leather will age beautifully over time, darkening from exposure to the sun, picking up indigo from your jeans and showing stress lines after consistent wear. This just adds to the appeal of the leather and develops its character. After some time, you will have a totally unique accessory that will tell the story of where it's been.
Please note: In order to preserve its natural character, this full-grain hide has not been buffed or corrected - so your belt may have small scratches or tone variations, which might be particularly evident on the unfinished leather. It's all part of the charm of hand crafted leather goods. Look at the enlarged product image closely and you can see what we mean.
Sizing
Epaulet belts have "Standard Belt Sizing," meaning that you need to order 1-2 inches larger than your typical pant size. So if you ordinarily wear a 32 or 33 pant, please order a 34 in the belts.
